There are several other knitting blogs I read on a regular basis (Anny Purls, Once More, with Knitting, Grumperina, ect-see the left panel to get links) and Anny has just knit the cutest little hat for her son, Julian and also made one for her soon-to-be-born son. I've fallen completely in love with this hat (as I do with most things she makes) and followed the link she provided for the hat. Turns out, it was originally designed for a Breast Cancer special knits project put out by Knitty.com (Click on breast cancer link to be taken to the pattern). Once I get what I'm currently working on done, I think I may actually give the Shedir a shot. Hopefully I'll have better luck with that than I've had with the gloves.
Yay, a snowstorm for Friday-just what we need!
As Per Environment Canada @ 8pm:
"Snow at times heavy changing to ice pellets overnight then to periods of rain. Risk of freezing rain overnight. Snow and ice pellet amount 20 cm. Rainfall amount 2 mm. Blowing snow late in the evening and overnight. Wind southeast 30 km/h increasing to 50 gusting to 70 late in the evening. Low minus 4 with temperature rising to plus 3 by morning."
Well, guess I'll just have to stay home and knit *sigh*
